More J Crew, GAP goodies

So I made my way back to J. Crew upon hearing that the "extra 30 off final sale" was still going on, and that there were further reductions on prices. I picked up the Brompton Safari Cat clutch, which I had had my eye on for at least a month, the Gondola striped top, and a pair of Sperry Top-Sider Two Eye Twill Boat Shoes in Neon Azalea (my first pair!). Total for the three items after discounts: $78!

I also went to GAP where the sale items were marked an extra 40-percent off. Oh, and GAP card holders receive an extra 10 percent off on Tuesday! I picked up the Oxford shirt in Orange Blossom, which I love, love, LOVE, the Ikat strapless dress, and a pair of City Flats in Neon Orange. On top of the discounts I had a $10 reward. Total cost for me: $36!

Lastly, I stopped at Old Navy --- a store that is very hit and miss with me and usually 'miss.' However, you can't beat the prices, especially for basic summer staples. I picked up beach dresses and a tank for next to nothing.

The swingy tank was $4, and the striped dresses were $8 and $10 each, and I had a GAP cardholder 20 off coupon.

Vacation jewelry

I picked up a few pieces of jewelry at the mall. This is is not something I typically buy, especially at the mall. However, all the pieces were on sale, and all will look terrific on vacation. The first item I picked up was at Francesca's Collection. I've been in this store before, but this was my first purchase. The necklace I spotted was marked down to just $9.99 and was the last one left. I can't find a picture of it online, but it is similar to this one here (which is from Talbot's, by the way).

I am not a fan of the store's return policy and the necklace I purchased was final sale. However, at $10 I am not too upset about the inability to return it. I expect to wear it next week with an outfit that matches.

I also picked up some marked down jewelry at Banana Republic. I never would have purchased any of these at full price, but with 25% off, plus an additional 10 % for cardholders, it is too good to pass up.

The white bracelet is called Cabochon Line bracelet.  The resin stretch bangle in blue matches my new necklace (not so much in the picture but in real life. I am most pleased with my purchase of the Cabochon Bracelet in coral, which looks really nice on my arm. Lastly, I picked up the skinny resin bracelet in spring poppy, which is more red than pink.

Fall into the GAP

Purchased these two items on sale, with additional 40 percent off.

The striped linen dress was just $24 and the canvas shorts just $15! I expect to get a lot of use out of each this summer.

From the weekend haul: J. Crew Factory

I have rediscovered J. Crew Factory.  As JCA's know, the factory is "hit or miss." Inspired by the still-good 20-off coupon, I think I picked up a few "hits."

Above is the summer plaid perfect shirt, the Azalea pencil skirt, the Garment-dyed Popover and a pair of white Skimmer pants (my 3rd pair by the way!). All purchases totaled $104 with use of coupon.

And since I can't help myself, I also drove past (and seriously, it was a "drive-by") J. Crew to pick up these pink gingham shorts (sold out online) and men's chambray fedora. Total price: $26!

It's been a struggle all day to not give in to the final sale madness on the J. Crew website!

Haul: J. Crew & Madewell

Just in case I haven't spent enough  at J. Crew this past week, I decided to give EVEN MORE of my money to J. Crew and other stores in its company family. Today I will post my J. Crew and Madewell purchases. I will try to post my J. Crew Factory purchases tomorrow.

(Above) from J. Crew I picked up the Cafe Trouser pants in Black, and also a pair of Rainy Day Ballet Flats in Peach. Total cost of purchase for these two items = $18!

I also picked up the Tippi Linen Sweater in Neon Pink, the Mini Delicious Apple shorts, the Painter's Tee in orange stripe, and another Colorblock Slash Henley. Total cost for these items = $75. And truthfully, it felt like less money because I had returned some items purchased before the final sale started and was able to repurchase at the (much) lower price.

I don't find myself to be much of a Madewell kind of girl, in fact I only ever bought one item from the store in the past -- a yellow scarf. But... who doesn't like an extra 40 off sale? I picked up these three shirts, the two oxford shirts are called Shrunken Love and the sizing ran a bit weird. I bought Mediums because the Large was too roomy, but I would have liked more room in the chest. I adore the Rustic Shrunken Love Plaid shirt. That fits perfectly, Total cost for shirts was $64.

I will post the J. Crew Factory items tomorrow!

Final sale -- FINALLY -- @ J. Crew

Could I possibly be "CREWED OUT" after five visits to J. Crew in the last four days? My answer: Don't be ridiculous!

Thanks to JCA for the info on 30 off in store. Yes, that means final sale, but if you've been eyeing something in store that you were on the fence about, an extra 30 percent off helps a person make a decision!

I came to J. Crew today (the first one, LOL) for the Tippi linen sweater that I have heard so much about. Yes, it is worth the hype. No, it wasn't worth the original price. However, with the discounts, I ended up paying $30 for it -- a very fair price.  I need another pink pencil skirt like I need a hole in my head... BUT at $24, I couldn't pass up the Neon Tweed.

I couldn't pass up these items. Top right is the colorblock stripe henley, next to the Kiwi perfect shirt, and below that is the stripe pullover hoodie. I am not looking forward to my credit card bill this month but I know I made good (sale) purchases.

LOVE Tar-JAY! (Target to the layman)

I have rediscovered Target clothing. It is not as spellbinding as J. Crew, or as appealing as GAP, but cover the brand name and some of Target's pieces can pass as pieces from the aforementioned store. And apparently other people think so, because I had to visit MULTIPLE (at least five!) Target stories in the NJ area to find all of these pieces. They were each purchased at different stores.

I love these two striped dresses from Mossimo for Target. I am thinking they are great for yard/beach coverups.

I love these pieces as well. The pink Merona gauze top was just $19.99. The Mossimo thong sandals in Mint and the Mossimo skinny jeans in "light blue" -- although they look more "mint" to me -- were $14.99 and $24.99. Score~!

From weekend haul part 2: J. Crew toothpick jeans and seersucker pencil, etc.

I hit up a total of FOUR J. Crew stores this weekend (see previous post for some of the purchases). At one store on Saturday, I picked up the toothpick jeans in persimmon for just $60 (plus educator discount) as well as the seersucker pencil skirt (which was FULL price). I normally try to buy J. Crew clothing on sale but I was concerned that seersucker skirt had been sold out at two B&M stores. Additionally, it went "missing" online and later "popped back." I figured it would be best to buy now rather than risk not getting it. I wasn't a fan of the lower cost Factory version because I didn't love the visible zipper on the back. Additionally, I like the darker color stripes of the real J. Crew version.

I did however, make my way to the J. Crew Factory, where I picked up the Casbah pencil skirt, the Pumpkin Spice pencil skirt, another April skirt (navy blue), and a neon striped poly blend blouse all for $110 (using the 20 pct off coupon). I could only find photos of the two pencil skirt, not the other two items.

Warming up to LOFT

It's always nice to discover another store you like. LOFT was a store that I always "wanted to like," but the clothing never called my name. I appreciate any store that offers a teacher discount, and I always appreciate a store that offers deep discounts on sale items. That is what is going on now: the additional 50 off. All the items below were purchased for a total of $85

The Marisa shorts were a great purchase at $17.50 ( down from orig. $39.50) because I am a big fan of the LOFT shorts this year. I've been wanting the Waverly striped dress for some time, but I was only willing to pay a portion of the $59.50 price. The LOFT rewards ($25 off $50) seemed to be the perfect opportunity to scoop it up. I've admired the seersucker blazer on past visits, but when I saw it for just $32.50 (and the only one left in my size), I knew it was something I didn't want to miss out on.

I also picked up this pocket skirt from Old Navy for just $12. Unfortunately it is a size too big but this particular pattern is hard to find so I considering keeping it and getting it altered.

Pass the CREWLADE, please! More from J. Crew.

More J Crew goodness today ... and deeply discounted at that!

I'm clearly still in pencil skirt mode...

Pictured above: Light Rose Double Serge Pencil Skirt, Garden Floral Pencil Skirt, Raj Paisley Pencil Skirt, and Succulent Green Double Serge Pencil Skirt.    All were on sale and all but the Raj skirt were under $40! The Raj Skirt was more but being that it is sold out online and at most B&M stores, it was worth the sale price.

I also picked up these pretties for $70... Viv Leopard Pointy Flats. LOVE!!
