After buying the citron double serge cotton pencil skirt from J. Crew last week (see previous post), I've decided that I really like the neon this spring. At first I was definitely hesitant but with neutrals it seems to give your outfit just enough pop.
The GAP striped dolman tee is my fave. I love it so much that I bought all four of the colors offered, the citron yellow, the hot pink, the neon orange, and the blue. It would seem that I am late to get on this trend as the shirts were all on clearance and I had to visit multiple GAP stores to purchase them all in my size. Best part? Each shirt was about $8! The skinny patent belt is from Ann Taylor and it was the last one at the story i shopped in. It is very similar to the coral one I bought there a few weeks back. The store was 30 percent off so the belt was just $21.

The haul after a hiatus
Hey all.... I know I have been a bad blogger, not posting in quite a while. The reason was simple: I have purchased very little that was worthy of blogging about because I have been spending time (and money) trying to beautify my laundry room!
However, spring fever set in on a lovely Friday afternoon and I picked up some steals and splurges!
The petite enamel hinged bracelet from Henri Bendel looks much like the infamous Hermes bangles. Although Henri Bendel items are upper-range in price, it seems like a steal when compared to Hermes!
I've had these two items from J. Crew on the brain for weeks now. First up is the citron double serge cotton pencil skirt. I wasn't coveting this color, but it was on sale and neon/neutrals is definitely in! I will give it a try. I expect I can pair this skirt with black, white, tan, gray, stripes, and chambray. The stripe top was hard to find as it was sold out online and in most stores. In fact, the one I bought was the last one left and fortunately it was in the size I wanted. The inspiration for that top came from another blogger.
Lastly, Old Navy had these two tops (the inspiration for which came from a blogger with amazing style) for just $5 each today! Score!

GAP Friends and Family
Although GAP stores and GAP.com are boasting the 30-percent off everything sale....those in the know have the 40-percent off everything coupon...which is 10 percent BETTER!
I bought a total of FIVE of the boatneck tees....with clearance and coupon cost just $9 each, and the red jean leggings, which were actually hard to find and are sold out online. I used the coupon to knock the full price down to $42.
