The Buffalo Plaid coat from Banana Republic has been on sale for a while, and I wanted it since seeing it on Tweed and Toile. I held out because I really don't "need" a new coat, but today I was able to bring it home for $67. Score!
I wanted the J. Crew Parisienne sweater after seeing it for the first time months ago, but today I was able to buy it after discounts for just $30. Also, I grabbed the red Tippi, which was also on the 40 percent off sale rack.
I was at BR and JC today too! The buffalo plaid coat is beautiful and such a steal at $67. I was tempted to buy it too, but they were out of my size. Other than 2 belts, I came out of J. Crew empty handed. I was hoping to find a sweater or the sequin polka dot top, but the sale section seemed so pick over. I did end up finding a really cute bow sweater from Gap. ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I really like the coat and would encourage you to not give up on it. When a BR store is out of your size, they can do check another store inventory or even do a "charge ship" from another store (and I believe with a BR or GAP card they might waive the shipping.)
ReplyDeleteAlso, J. Crew had a sequin polka dot in a store I was in last night but I don't know what size you were looking for. If you are certain of your size you can get a WWFIFY. I ended up with BOTH sequin tops on sale -- I took the off white in a medium, and I settled for the black one is a small because it was all that was left and the price was amazing.

Deletehehe I know what you mean on cutting back. Forunately, my brother gave me a gift card at J. Crew for Christmas so I was able to buy a cashmere cardigan and belt and only paying 18$ of my own money. Not too bad! Cute picks - I love the buffalo coat too :)
